Bio

As a Veterinary Assistant with Nassau Veterinary Clinic, I enjoy being a part of a team and challenging myself while learning new skills to apply to patient care and client relations.
My career and educational background consists of Exercise Science (focus in Personal Training), and Prehospital Emergency Medicine, to which I dedicated 15 years of my life before retiring.

I’ve worked with animals/reptiles of all different types since a very young age. In 4-H I showed dairy goats, rabbits, poultry and other livestock, as well as participating in some more challenging shows with the American Dairy Goat Association. In my teen years, I was an assistant instructor for AKC Dog Obedience. Around that time, I fell in love with the Labrador Retriever.

I currently spend my spare time breeding and training Labrador Retrievers as green detection dogs, as well as some search and rescue endeavors. I enjoy hiking with my husband, daughter, and many Labradors, weightlifting, baking, and DIY projects around my home.
