My interest and exposure to veterinary medicine occurred early in life as my father was a large animal veterinarian.  I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1982 and began working at Nassau Veterinary Clinic.  In 1985, I accepted a partnership position.  I developed a special interest in dentistry and have pursued advanced certification in the field.  I completed a two-year program that involved working with a mentor and advanced dental procedures, lectures, and dental wet-labs.  I was then accepted as a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry in 2007.  There are only five veterinarians who are Fellows of the Academy in New York State, and I am currently the only Fellow available in the Capital District.  I am a member if the American Veterinary Dental Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State and Capital District Veterinary Societies, and the American Animal Hospital Association.  My professional goal is to provide progressive, high quality dental and medical care for your pet in a caring environment.

My wife, Margaret, and I have a daughter Erica and a son Glenn.  We have multiple pets including dogs, cats and fish.  I am interested in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, camping and nature study.  I am particularly interested in botany and birding.  I am a member of the East Greenbush School District Budget Review and Advisory Committee.
